Driver and Passenger Die after Speeding Car Crashes into Tree and Oakdale Apartment Complex on Greger Street

 
OAKDALE, CA (November 29, 2021) – Two people died in a high-speed accident on Greger Street in Oakdale early in the morning on Thanksgiving day.
 
The accident happened just after 2:00 a.m. on November 25, just west of Kaufman Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Ford Fusion was speeding westbound on Greger Street when it came to a turn and hit a raised curb. The impact caused the car to crash into a tree and into an apartment complex.
 
When officers arrived, they found the driver and the passenger inside the car. Both were not wearing their seat belts.
 
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the two occupants died at the scene. The driver was 29 years old, while the passenger was 27. Both were Oakdale residents.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
