Motorcycle Crash on North H Street in Lompoc Injures Two People

 
LOMPOC, CA (October 6, 2022) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on North H Street in Lompoc on Monday afternoon, October 3.
 
The accident happened just after 2:30 p.m. in the 1300 block on North H Street. According to the Lompoc Police Department, a motorcycle was splitting lanes while traffic was stopped at a red light.
 
The passenger on the motorcycle stood up, causing the driver to lose balance and crash.
 
The driver and passenger reportedly fell into the second lane of traffic, between a trailer and the semi truck that was hauling it. When the light turned green, the semi-truck driver began to drive off, dragging the motorcycle and its two riders.
 
As a result, the two motorcyclists sustained leg injuries and were airlifted to a hospital.
 
The semi truck driver immediately stopped when he spotted the motorcyclists in his mirror.
 
This accident is still under investigation. Police asked witnesses to call them at 805-736-2341.
