Two Hospitalized in Car Crash on Clayton Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Two Injured after Car Accident on Clayton Avenue and Chestnut Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (April 25, 2022) — Two people sustained injuries after a car crash on Clayton Avenue in Fresno on Sunday, April 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on Clayton Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the cab of a pick-up truck overturned in the front yard of a nearby home. At the same time, they found an SUV stuck on top of a gate and chain-link fence.
 
On the front lawn, officers also noticed the bed of the truck that had been ripped off due to the force of the collision.
 
Firefighters then extricated two people left pinned inside of the vehicles. Medics subsequently rushed both patients to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Officers say they do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
 
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
