Teen Injured in Accident on Worden Street in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 15, 2021) – Crews sent two people to the hospital following an accident on Worden Street on February 13.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly after midnight at the intersection of Polack Avenue.
Based on a report, an 18-year-old man was speeding southbound on Worden Street prior to the crash. At the same time, a 30-year-old man had been travelling eastbound on Polack and had stopped at a stop sign before turning left on Worden. Due to unknown reasons, the teen struck the man’s car. Subsequently, one of the vehicles struck five other vehicles parked on the street.
As a result, the teen driver sustained a lacerated liver. In addition, his front-seat passenger, a man in his 20s, had a fractured femur on his left leg. Crews transported both victims to hospitals. The 30-year-old driver suffered scrapes and bruises that didn’t require hospitalization.
At this point, the San Diego Police Department is still investigating this accident on Worden Street.
