WHITTIER, CA (August 19, 2022) — Traffic was reported in a multi-car accident on the 605 Freeway near Rose Hill Road on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car accident happened around 9:45 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, several cars collided and left a semi-truck on its side, spilling dozens of plywood across the road.
 
In response, CHP issued an hours-long SigAlert that carried over into 5:00 a.m. Thursday. As a result, commuters faced heavy traffic and closure on the northbound 605 Freeway.
 
At this time, reports did not indicate any injuries or the leading cause of the accident. However, we will update this report once we have more information.
