MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (September 26, 2022) — A toddler and a father were hit and injured by a car near Mercy Street and Franklin Street on Friday.
 
According to the Mountain View Police Department, the pedestrian accident took place around 11:10 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver outside of Mountain View Library struck a toddler on a training bicycle on a sidewalk. In addition, the driver hit his father.
 
As a result of the crash, both suffered minor injuries, and paramedics took the boy to a hospital as a precaution.
 
Following the accident, the driver stayed at the scene while officers investigated the crash. At this time, Mountain View Police Department officials have ruled out impairment as a possible explanation, and no arrests were made.
