15-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash on Silver Oak Trail and Toscana Drive

 
AMERICAN CANYON, CA (March 11, 2022) — A 15-year-old boy was hurt in a pedestrian accident on Silver Oak Trail on Wednesday, March 9.
 
According to police, a GMC sport-utility vehicle struck the teenager. Officers responded to Silver Oak Trail and Toscana Drive at about 3:00 p.m.
 
When officers arrived at the area, they found the teen in the roadway with moderate injuries. California Highway Patrol helicopter airlifted him to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.
 
The SUV driver was not hurt in the crash.
 
Witnesses told the officers the boy did not cross the street at a crosswalk. Police said speed did not appear as a factor in the crash.
