Del Mar Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle Last Week in North Park Area

 
NORTH PARK, CA (November 28, 2023) – Stephen Debow died after being struck by a vehicle in the North Park area of San Diego Tuesday last week on November 21.
 
The fatal crash happened at Polk Avenue and Utah Street. According to San Diego police, Debow was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck him.
 
Responding paramedics rushed him to Scripps Mercy Hospital in critical condition.
 
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, Debow succumbed to his injuries Monday on November 27 at 3:30 a.m. He was 42 years old from Del Mar, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
