Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills

 
WOODLAND HILLS, CA (November 28, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills early Monday morning on November 27.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 3:00 a.m. just west of De Soto Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was crossing lanes on the eastbound freeway when a vehicle struck him.
 
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and city of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert in the area, shutting down two eastbound lanes of the freeway while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
