Stacey Paz Dies and Milton Pineda-Vaceres Hurt after Car Crashes into Parked Car in Carmel-By-The-Sea

 
CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, CA (September 14, 2021) – Officers identified Stacey Paz as the victim who died in an accident on Carmel Valley Road on September 10.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Rio Road shortly after 9:30 PM.
 
Based on reports, Northridge residents Stacey Paz and Milton Pineda-Vaceres got off their car after a non-injury accident. Subsequently, a car traveling eastbound along Carmel Valley struck their vehicle from behind and pushed it forward into them.
 
Consequently, the impact pinned Paz under the car. As a result, emergency crews pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
They transported Pineda-Vaceres to Natividad Medical Center for unknown injuries.
 
Officers did not arrest the driver of the car that struck the victims’ vehicle. At this point, the fatal incident is still under investigation.
