Woman Dies after Struck by Car while Standing in the Middle of the Road in Desert Hot Springs

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (October 17, 2022) – Sierra Forst died in a pedestrian accident in Desert Hot Springs early Saturday morning, October 15.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on Indian Canyon Drive, just north of Mission Lakes Boulevard. According to the Desert Hot Spring Police Department, a green Chrysler was traveling northbound on Indian Canyon Drive, past Mission Lakes Boulevard. The driver saw Forst in the middle of the roadway and tried to make evasive maneuvers, but unsuccessful.
 
24-year-old Forst from Desert Hot Springs suffered fatal injuries after being struck by the vehicle and died at the scene.
 
The driver, a 41-year-old resident of Cathedral City, had minor injuries. They remained on scene and cooperated with police.
