Temecula Man Dies after 215 Freeway Crash in Murrieta

 
MURRIETA, CA (March 18, 2021) – Authorities identified the man who died in a two-vehicle accident early Monday morning.
 
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau said 43-year-old Sea-Jay Cameron of Temecula died at the hospital.
 
The accident happened around 12:42 a.m., March 15 just north of Clinton Keith Road.
 
Cameron was driving a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta in the slow lane of southbound 215 Freeway. For unknown reasons, he veered left into the second lane and struck a 2013 Ford F-150 truck. The impact sent his sedan back into the slow lane and onto the freeway shoulder, where his vehicle hit and knocked over a light pole.
 
The Jetta then overturned onto the dirt and grass shoulder area, the CHP said.
 
Paramedics rushed Cameron to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
Impairment may have played a role in the collision, the CHP said. Further investigation is underway.
