SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (February 14, 2022) – A school bus driver sustained injuries in an accident on Bradshaw Road on Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 11 at about 8:25 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a fuel truck collided with an Elk Grove Unified School District bus near Rogers Road.
 
The impact of the collision pushed the bus down an embankment near the tracks.
 
Emergency crews later transported the school bus driver to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As per reports, one student was inside the school bus at the time of the crash. Responders confirmed that the child did not sustain injuries in the collision.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
