Saul Delgado Charged in DUI 2-Vehicle Crash near Santa Fe Avenue and California Avenue

 
VISTA, CA (April 18, 2023) — Saul Delgado faces DUI charges following a 2-car accident near Santa Fe Avenue and California Avenue.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday. It started when a deputy from the Vista Sheriff’s Station, patrolling the area near Vista Village Drive and Santa Fe Avenue, saw a blue Audi driving at a high rate of speed. Subsequently, the deputy tried to catch up with the driver, who subsequently made an illegal U-turn and ran a red light.
 
The Audi didn’t get far as the driver lost control and crashed into a median fence before hitting a Nissan SUV.
 
Soon after, deputies assisted two occupants in the Nissan SUV, as well as 33-year-old Saul Celerino Villanueva Delgado — the Audi driver.
 
Paramedics transported one individual from the SUV and Delgado, whom authorities arrested for DUI, to a hospital.
