Multi-Vehicle Accident on Mariposa Road in Victorville Kills 1 Driver

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (November 19, 2022) – Ruben Navarro was killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Victorville Wednesday evening on November 16.
 
The accident happened around 8:13 p.m. on Mariposa Road near the Scandia Family Fun Center. According to the Victorville Police Department, the crash involved a silver 2018 Hyundai Sonata, a silver 2018 Dodge Ram and a white 2014 Nissan Altima.
 
Navarro, a 25-year-old Victorville resident, was the driver of the Hyundai. He was reportedly driving northbound on Mariposa Road when he drove into oncoming traffic at approximately 80 mph, colliding with the Dodge and the Nissan. He suffered fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene.
 
Firefighters said three people in the Dodge sustained minor injuries. The occupants in the Nissan were unharmed.
 
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
