Rider Injured in Motorcycle Accident on 15 Freeway [Phelan, CA]

Rider Hospitalized after Motorcycle Crash on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road

 
PHELAN, CA (November 23, 2021) — A rider suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on 15 Freeway on Wednesday, November 17.
 
The crash occurred at around 5:26 p.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway between Oak Hill Road and Highway 138.
 
According to a witness, traffic slowed down for unknown reasons and the rider moved to the left, trying to avoid a crash. However, the rider lost control and struck the back of the truck throwing both vehicles into the center divider.
 
San Bernardino County firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the scene.
 
Paramedics rushed the rider by ground ambulance to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with undetermined injuries.
 
The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
 
Authorities temporarily closed the road as they checked on the people involved and cleared the area.
 
The official cause of the collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
