29-Year-Old Richard Mendez Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Arleta

 
ARLETA, CA (December 12, 2022) – Authorities identified 29-year-old Richard Mendez of Arleta as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run on Terra Bella Street, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on December 7, at about 10:20 p.m. Mendez reportedly attempted to cross the street when a Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan hit him near Canterbury Avenue.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle failed to render aid and immediately left the area.
 
Los Angeles police ask the public’s help to locate the hit-and-run driver. A reward of up to $50,000 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
