Reckless Driver Killed in Crash on Blanco Road at Armstrong Road [Monterey County, CA]

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Occurs on West Blanco Road in Monterey County

 
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (October 25, 2021) – Police confirmed that a reckless driver died in a multi-vehicle crash on West Blanco Road on October 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Armstrong Road.
 
Based on an initial report, the reckless driver was traveling on the wrong way prior to the crash. Subsequently, the victim’s car drove directly into an SUV. Two other vehicles were also part of the accident.
 
As a result, the wrong-way driver died at the scene. Officials did not release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification. Paramedics transported the SUV driver to a nearby hospital for major injuries.
 
Also, the collision closed Blanco Road to give way to rescue and clearing operations.
 
At this point, no other details about the crash are available. In addition, an investigation is ongoing.
