Rachael Fox Dies in Hollywood Hills Hit-and-Run, Adrian Castroramos Detained for DUI

HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA (July 15, 2021) — A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on southbound Highway 101 near Pilgrimage Bridge Monday morning, July 5.

47-year-old Los Angeles resident Rachael Heather Fox died in the incident, Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 4:46 a.m. near the Hollywood Bowl. Fox got out of her car to check for damage after being involved in a three-car crash. However, a passing 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer hit her.

CHP officers met with 22-year-old Adrian Castroramos, who drove the car, at the scene. Soon after, officials determined Castroramos was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.

He was arrested and CHP said Castroramos suffered minor cuts on his hands from the crash.

We would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Rachael Heather Fox.
