Pregnant Woman Sustains Scrapes and Bruises after Hit by SD Work Vehicle in Parking Lot on East Mission Bay Drive

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 22, 2023) – A pregnant woman was injured in a pedestrian accident on East Mission Bay Drive in San Diego Tuesday morning.
 
Around 5:22 a.m. on January 17, officers from the San Diego Police Department responded to the 2100 block of East Mission Bay Drive after receiving reports of a pedestrian crash.
 
Upon arrival, they found the woman suffering minor scrapes and bruises. The woman had been walking in a parking lot when a city of San Diego work vehicle hit her.
 
Paramedics took the woman to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and cooperated with police.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
