Seal Beach Police Officer Suffers Injuries after Crash on Pacific Coast Highway

 
SEAL BEACH, CA (May 15, 2023) – A Seal Beach police officer was injured in a traffic accident on Pacific Coast Highway Friday afternoon on May 12.
 
The accident happened around 12:16 p.m. at the intersection with Seal Beach Boulevard. According to the Seal Beach Police Department, the officer was responding to a call when he drove through the intersection and was struck by the driver of another vehicle.
 
Responding fire crews transported the officer to a local hospital with non-life-threatening.
 
The driver of the other vehicle also suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
 
The cause of the crash was not immediately known. An investigation is underway.
