47-Year-Old Man Suffers Broken Right Wrist after Electric Bicycle Crashes into Vehicle on Washington Street in Hillcrest

 
HILLCREST, CA (May 15, 2023) – A man was injured after an electric bicycle accident on Washington Street in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego Saturday evening on May 13.
 
Around 7:00 p.m., the 47-year-old man was riding his electric bicycle at a high rate of speed when he struck the rear of a 2014 Ford C-Max multi-purpose in the 800 block of Washington Street.
 
As a result of the crash, the man suffered a broken right wrist among other injuries requiring surgery. Paramedics took him to the hospital for proper treatment.
 
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The San Diego Police Department is handling the investigation.
