BPD Officer Suffers Injuries after Crashing into Stopped Car near Brimhall and Coffee Roads

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 15, 2023) – A Bakersfield police officer was injured in a motorcycle accident near Brimhall Road and Coffee Road on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 1:19 p.m. on July 12. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the officer struck a stalled vehicle while riding the motorcycle near the intersection.
 
As a result, the officer suffered moderate injuries.
 
A woman in the vehicle was unharmed.
 
It was unclear why the woman was stopped partially in the roadway. An investigation into that reason and circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
