LAPD Officer Hurt in Jefferson Park Motorcycle Accident near Crenshaw Boulevard

 
JEFFERSON PARK, CA (March 3, 2021) – An LAPD officer was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident near Crenshaw Boulevard and Adams Boulevard.
 
The accident happened around 9:15 Wednesday, February 24 during a felony stop. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the motorcycle officer was responding to a backup call.
 
Video captured by a bystander shows a silver SUV plowing into the officer and a cruiser parked next to the motorcycle.
 
As a result, the officer sustained injuries. Paramedics took him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment. He was in stable condition Thursday morning.
 
Meanwhile, police arrested the driver of the SUV.
 
An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
