Person Dies in Fresno Motorcycle Crash at Barton Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (July 1, 2021) — A person died in a motorcycle accident at Barton Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue Wednesday morning.
 
According to Fresno police officers, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 11:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist crashed into a white pickup truck turning onto Gettysburg Avenue from Barton Avenue.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist died moments later. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported a woman in the truck with unknown injuries to a nearby hospital. At this time, officers believe speed may have played a role in the crash. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
