Person Dies in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on Soledad Canyon Road in Newhall

 
NEWHALL, CA (February 9, 2023) — One person died in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Soledad Canyon Road near Briggs Road.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Newhall officials, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 6:18 p.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, a white single-cab Chevrolet or Ford truck collided with the motorcyclist. The driver of the truck, however, failed to stop. Instead, the suspect left the scene heading westbound on Soledad Canyon Road.
 
The motorcyclist, however, suffered fatal injuries in the accident, dying soon after.
 
Now, investigators are looking into this case as a hit-and-run. Thus, if anyone has more information on the vehicle or driver involved, please call the CHP Newhall office.
