Man Killed in Rollover Accident on Highway 70 near Sparrow Lane [Yuba County, CA]

Early Morning Rollover Crash on Highway 70 in Yuba County Kills 1 and Injures Another

 
YUBA COUNTY, CA (February 9, 2023) – A man was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 70 in Yuba County early Wednesday morning on February 8.
 
The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. near Sparrow Lane, just south of Lower Honcut Road near the Butte-Yuba County line. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling on the highway when it overturned for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, one male occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. Another man was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Officers found fentanyl and alcohol inside the vehicle and near the crash site. They believe alcohol and/or drugs were contributing factors. Further investigation is underway.
