Pedestrian Dies in Wilmington Two-Car Crash on Wilmington Boulevard

 
WILMINGTON, CA (August 24, 2021) — A pedestrian died in a two-car accident on Wilmington Boulevard near Opp Street Monday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the deadly accident happened around 10:50 a.m. For unknown reasons, a white Toyota ran a red traffic light and broadsided a black Chevrolet Tahoe. Subsequently, the Chevrolet Tahoe veered out of control and struck a female pedestrian crossing the street.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and shuttled the woman to a nearby hospital where she died. Meanwhile, paramedics tended to the five occupants of the two cars who suffered moderate to severe injuries.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed what drove the accident. However, if anyone has more information, please call the Los Angeles police.
