Pedestrian Struck, Killed on 57 Freeway in Brea

 
BREA, CA (August 24, 2021) — A pedestrian was hit and killed on the 57 Freeway near Lambert Road Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened at approximately 5:00 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a person who was reportedly walking along the southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway. Soon after, the driver left the scene, and several others struck the victim and also fled.
 
Moments later, the Orange County coroner reached the scene and found the body of the pedestrian. However, information on the identity and place of residence of the victim has not been released.
