Fatal Pedestrian vs. Train Accident at 8th Street and Lincoln Street

 
BANNING, CA (December 28, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a train accident at 8th Street and Lincoln Street in Banning on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:05 a.m. on December 27. According to the Riverside Fire Department, the pedestrian was either standing or crossing the tracks when the train struck them.
 
Responding firefighters pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The Banning Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
