Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Franklin Boulevard in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 20, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Franklin Boulevard and 26th Avenue in South Sacramento on Sunday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:00 a.m. on March 19. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the male pedestrian was crossing the intersection when a vehicle struck him.
 
The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the crash.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead.
 
Police shut down Franklin Boulevard between 26th and 27th avenues in both directions while they investigated the crash.
