Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Car near Stockton Boulevad in South Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 20, 2023) – A man was killed in a bicycle hit-and-run crash near Stockton Boulevard and 20th Avenue in South Sacramento on Saturday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on March 18. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the man was riding his bicycle when a vehicle struck him.
 
After the hitting the victim, the driver of the vehicle took off without rendering aid.
 
When officers arrived, they found the man on the roadway with serious injuries. Emergency crews tried saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
The Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigations Unit is handling the investigation.
