Early Morning DUI Accident on Union Avenue in Bakersfield Injures Pedestrian

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 28, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries early Thursday morning in a DUI accident on Union Avenue at 18th Street in Bakersfield.
 
The accident happened around 4:37 a.m. on May 27. Police said a suspected drunken driver hit the male pedestrian at the intersection.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the man to a hospital with moderate injuries. Police said the victim is now in stable condition.
 
Police arrested the female driver of the vehicle on suspicion of DUI.
 
At this time, the Bakersfield Police Department is still working on the accident.
