Pedestrian Killed by Big Rig on Phelan Road in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (October 28, 2022) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a semi-truck on Phelan Road near Caughlin Road on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:17 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a semi-truck hit a pedestrian, drawing CHP officers to the scene soon after.
 
Upon arriving, San Bernardino County Fire personnel confirmed the person deceased and laid a yellow sheet over the body. From there, authorities contacted the San Bernardino County coroner’s office to retrieve the body.
 
Following the crash, the driver of the tractor-trailer stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. It’s unclear what drove the accident, but an investigation should confirm any additional information.
