Homeless Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Santa Ana

 
SANTA ANA, CA (June 8, 2023) – Oscar Duran Hernandez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Santa Ana late Tuesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:53 p.m. on June 6, in the 2400 block of West Edinger Avenue. According to the Santa Ana Police Department, Hernandez was crossing Edinger Avenue when an eastbound vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Hernandez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 33-year-old transient.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
