James Baker, Juan Jaramillo Dead in Motorcycle Accident During Police Pursuit on Ashlan Avenue at Maroa Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (May 13, 2024)James Baker died in a motorcycle crash during a police chase on Ashlan Avenue at Maroa Avenue.
 
According to the Fresno Police, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon seeing a motorcyclist ride recklessly, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies tried to pull over the motorist. However, the motorcyclist drove off at a high rate of speed before crashing into a sedan at Ashlan Avenue and Maroa Avenue.
 
Tragically, the motorcyclist, identified as 25-year-old James Baker of Fresno, and the 60-year-old sedan driver, Juan Jaramillo of Fresno, passed away in the collision.
 
Authorities determined that Baker had several felonies and a misdemeanor.
