Train and Pedestrian Involved in Accident on Taylor Street in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 20, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Taylor Street on April 16.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just north of 5 Freeway at approximately 10:10 PM.
 
Based on a report, the pedestrian was on the tracks at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train traveling northbound struck the victim as it crossed the Taylor Street grade crossing.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s identity pending kin notification.
 
At this point, the San Diego County Sheriff‘s Office is still investigating this pedestrian accident on Taylor Street. In addition, no other details are available.
