Fatal Rollover Crash on Turner Island Road in Merced County

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (May 19, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a rollover crash on Turner Island Road on May 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Henry Miller Avenue around 9:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, a 2005 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Turner at an unknown speed at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle hit a power pole. Then, the pole caught fire and fell down to the ground near a canal.
 
As a result, one person inside the Honda died in the incident. Officials only identified the victim as a 62-year-old woman from Los Banos.
 
At this point, no other details about this rollover crash on Turner Island Road are available. In addition, an investigation is ongoing.
