George Pacheco Dead, Jesus Perez Arrested in DUI Crash on Orange Blossom Road near Lancaster Road

 
OAKDALE, CA (May 20, 2021) — A man identified as 78-year-old George John Pacheco, of Oakdale, died in a DUI crash on Tuesday, May 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 7 p.m., three people in a Chevrolet Silverado traveled south on Orange Blossom Road near Lancaster Road. Then the Silverado entered the northbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe.
 
Pacheco, who was behind the wheel of the Tahoe, died as a result of injuries sustained in the incident. His passenger, a 76-year-old woman from Oakdale, had major injuries.
 
The CHP said that alcohol appeared to have played a role in the collision. They arrested the driver of the Silverado identified as 23-year-old Jesus Perez, of Oakdale.
 
Perez, along with a 31-year-old male passenger, sustained major injuries. A 23-year-old passenger in the Silverado received treatment for minor injuries.
 
The incident is still under investigation.
