BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 15, 2021) – Officials confirmed that one person died in a rollover crash on southbound 5 Freeway on April 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Highway 119 around 8:07 AM.
 
Based on a report, a white SUV was traveling on the freeway prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it rolled over in the lanes several times. Subsequently, it landed in a ditch off the roadway.
 
As a result, at least one person died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
