Man Dies in Merced Motorcycle Accident on Beachwood Drive

 
MERCED, CA (April 15, 2021) — A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Beachwood Drive near Ashby Road Tuesday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened around 11:23 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 32-year-old Merced man crashed his 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000. As a result of the impact, he was thrown off his bike and struck multiple signs on the southbound shoulder of Ashby Road.
 
Soon after, medical personnel responded to the scene but pronounced him dead despite administering life-saving efforts. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family members.
