Rollover Accident on 580 Freeway in Tracy Ends in Fatality

 
TRACY, CA (January 20, 2022) – One person died in a rollover accident on 580 Freeway in Tracy on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. on January 18 at the Mountain House Parkway off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gold SUV and a white pickup truck collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn.
 
When officers arrived, they found at least three people who were trapped inside the vehicles. One of the patients suffered suffered major injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the victims to a hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, at least one person was pronounced dead.
 
The identity of the deceased was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
