Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Truck along Wilson Ranch Road in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (August 3, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Wilson Ranch Road in Phelan early Monday, August 1.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. between Smoketree and Walnut roads. According to the California Highway Patrol, a small Ford truck struck the pedestrian who was walking in the area.
 
Emergency personnel responded and located the pedestrian down in the roadway. They performed life-saving measures, but the victim died at the scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office arrived and took possession of the body. The victim’s identity will be released once family members are properly notified.
 
The truck sustained damage to the windshield and hood. The male driver was not injured and cooperated with officers.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
