ESCONDIDO, CA (August 3, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on 15 Freeway in Encondido late Sunday evening on July 31.
 
The accident happened around 10:26 p.m. near Valley Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was traveling northbound on the freeway when it crashed into the rear of a white van.
 
When officers arrived, they located the van and rider in the middle lane.
 
Paramedics took the rider to Palomar Medical Center with major injuries.
