Deadly Accident on 57 Freeway in Fullerton Involves at Least 3 Vehicles

 
FULLERTON, CA (November 30, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 57 Freeway in Fullerton, early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:37 a.m. on November 29 at the intersection with Chapman Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan, a pickup truck and at least one additional vehicle collided along the northbound 57 Freeway for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found the sedan in the middle lanes, while the two other vehicles were on the right shoulder. The pickup truck was facing the wrong way.
 
Paramedics rendered aid, but one person died at the scene. The identity of the victim and the type of car they were riding in were not immediately known.
 
The northbound 57 Freeway remained closed until after 6:15 a.m. when two of the lanes were reopened, the CHP reported. Traffic in the area remained heavy until after 9 a.m.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
