Fatal Motorcycle Accident on 57 Freeway in Brea

 
BREA, CA (March 20, 2021) – At least one person was killed Thursday evening in a motorcycle accident on the 57 Freeway in Brea.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m., March 18, at Imperial Highway.
 
CHP officials did not provide details of how the collision occurred, but they confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The coroner’s office withheld the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert, temporarily blocking three freeway lanes until around 7:37 p.m. while they investigated the crash scene.
 
It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.
