Two-Car Accident at Alessandro and Perris Boulevards Leaves 1 Driver Dead

MORENO VALLEY, CA (March 20, 2021) – One person died late Wednesday evening after a two-car accident at Alessandro Boulevard and Perris Boulevard.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened around 11:15 p.m., March 17.

A Nissan Altima was heading eastbound on Alessandro at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for a red signal. As it entered the intersection, it collided with a Toyota Corolla attempting to turn left from westbound Alessandro, onto southbound Perris, the department said.

The force of the collision caused the Toyota to spin out, as the Nissan rolled over onto its roof before coming to rest within eastbound lanes.

As a result, the driver of the Nissan died at the scene. A passenger in the Nissan and the driver of the Toyota suffered major injuries.

Officials are still investigating to determine whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the bereaved family and friends of the victim.
