Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with SUV on 215 Freeway in Colton

COLTON, CA (November 4, 2021) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on 215 Freeway in Colton Tuesday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on November 2, just north of Barton Road. According to the Colton Fire Department, the motorcyclist was travelling southbound on the freeway when traffic began to slow in front of them. The motorcyclist then applied their brakes and got into a locked wheel skid, and traveled out of control.
 
The motorcyclist then struck the right rear bumper of a Buick SUV traveling about 30 mph. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike and went under the left rear wheels of the trailer attached to a semi-truck in the adjacent lane.
 
Responding fire crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
 
At this time, no identifying information is available. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
