Greg Campbell Dead, Josphat Muhia Involved in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 near Loleta Drive

 
FERNBRIDGE, CA (November 4, 2021) Greg Campbell died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Loleta Drive Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 2:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, 50-year-old Campbell was walking in the lanes of northbound Highway 101. Soon after, a Subaru struck him.
 
Due to his injuries, emergency medical personnel arrived and administered life-saving efforts. However, attempts fell short, and the Sausalito man died at the scene.
 
Following the investigation, investigators did not believe the driver, Josphat Muhia, was impaired at the time. However, an ongoing investigation continues, and anyone with information should call the Humboldt Area CHP at (707)822-5981.
