Head-On Accident on Highway 160 in Isleton Kills One Driver

 
ISLETON, CA (October 11, 2021) – One person died in a head-on accident on Highway 160 in Isleton late Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:15 p.m. on October 9. According to the River Delta Fire District, a red Lexus sedan was speeding along the highway when it veered off the shoulder. The driver overcorrected and lost control of the car.
 
The Lexus then went into the double yellow lines and collided head-on into a Ford F-350 pickup truck.
 
As a result, the driver of the Lexus suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The truck driver did not sustain serious injuries.
 
At this time, it unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
